Admin Report Guide
Mechanical
RP
Over the course of Saph’s ownership we’ve come to realise that there’s a lot of things that people either ‘know’ or ‘don’t’. We’d like to reduce that while also expanding on best practice for admin reports. This guide covers common or niche things that we see fairly often.
Please note, this guide will be added to as and when more things come to light or if things become more frequent and after the rules rewrite, if necessary.
Please also be aware that the staff are predominantly EU based with the admin in particular being situated in the UK. While we may not keep to GMT hours, there may be patches due to our sleeping pattern.

Renaming Something
Help! I’ve made a mistake and put ‘colourz’ instead of ‘colours’ in the title of this dress, can it be edited?
Yes it can! Please submit us a report with the following information:
- What the item is currently called
- What it should be named, exactly as it should be named [we copy and paste this in]
- Where the item is, ideally have it loose in your character’s inventory. Do not hand it off.
- If you do hand it off, who did you hand it to?
When might we decline a rename?
- If it’s not being named something appropriate
- If it keeps being renamed excessively [10+ times for example]
- When the item is actually an illegal/immersion breaking item
- In this case we’re likely to contact you to ask you why it was made and find a better item that it could be.

Illegal/Immersion Breaking Items
I have found a pair of jeans, what should I do?
Please submit us a report with the following information:
- What the item is called and its description
- Where is it? If it’s on the ground, which building? Outside? Is it in a container, if so, what’s the name and where is that?
- Whether or not you can reasonably obtain the item to have it loose in your inventory for an edit.
- Whether or not your character is the type to try and ‘fix’ it via rp so we can edit alongside it.
- The creator of the item if known
Suggested Title of Report: Illegal Item - Jeans
Emoting Thoughts
I noticed a newspawn emoting thoughts, how should I let you know?
Please submit us a report with the following information:
- What you have nicknamed them, if you haven’t then please give them a nickname first
- The In-Game timestamp of the offending post
- Copy and Paste the whole thing or the offending sentence
- If it was a one-off, or if there have been multiple things
- Make sure to select the character it was on in your selection
Remember, everyone is new at some point so just ignore the behaviour and roleplay around it. Please don’t respond to their emotes toxically in your own.
Suggested Title of Report: John Doe - Emoting Thoughts
Hibernation Requests
I need to hibernate but I’ve been sparring with adults, what can I do?
Please submit us a report with the following information:
- The characters you want hibernating
- The date you want the hibernation to extend to
- The reason you can’t click it yourself
Reasons we might decline the request:
- If it is to get out of a violent scene including combat
- If it is done in a way that indicates it’s targeted against another player
Suggested Title of Report: Hibernation Request - Jane Smith
Trusted Status
I have several characters near each other and don’t want them to hibernate, is there anything I can do about this?
Yes, you can apply for trusted status. To do so please submit us a report with the following information:
- Why do you need it?
- Which characters it is likely to benefit
- Any concerns such as resources, diplomatic relations, etc
What would cause us to decline an application?
- If you have previous infractions, depending on what happened we may ask you to apply at another time or reject outright.
- If you have lost trusted status before, depending on what happened we may ask you to apply at another time or reject outright.
- If we see no reason/no potential crossovers in the first place, we may ask you to apply should it become relevant
What can you do if you’re declined but have a crossover?
- You can still request that your hibernation is swapped to the arriving character versus the one in situ on tile. Please see Hibernation swap for this.
Suggested Title of Report: Trusted Status Application
Swapping Hibernation
I’m unable to gain trusted status/I don’t need it as this is rare but I don’t want Character A to hibernate when Character B arrives but instead have it the other way around. Is this possible?
Yes, please send us a report with the following information:
- Which character is on the tile
- Which character you want woken
- When you will arrive [preferably in hours with game time so: thirteen hours from now Day 7 Hour 11]
Suggested Title of Report: Hibernation Swap - Jane/John
Manual Avoidance
I wish to avoid someone but I've left the area/they've left the area. What can I do as I don't want to be near the character/s?
The dev can manually apply avoidances in these circumstances. Please send us a report with the following information:
- Which character or player you wish to avoid
- If there are overarching issues that have led to this decision, please include them
Please note, these are not quickly applied, nor should they be frequent. Please use your in-game UI to avoid people regularly.
Suggested Title of Report: Manual Avoidance Request - Jane's Player
How Detailed Should I Be?
As admin, we are immune to the two day rule and our day to day role has us spot checking all over Marosia - as such there is no need to be vague with your reports. Furthermore, more detail helps us get to the crux of any issue you've encountered.
For example:
- You have two characters that might end up involved in the same conflict. Tell us all details surrounding how each is involved and what you foresee happening if they both remained on this story course. This way, we can properly help you resolve this issue.
- Time/date of particular events you are reporting will help us locate what you are telling us about instead of us having to comb over logs.
- Including the In-Game timestamp helps us even more!
- The names (or nicknames you have assigned) any characters you are reporting about. "This one guy said I was stinky in emotes and then the other one emoted pulling a sick wheelie on a penny farthing" doesn't help us get to the issue quickly, for example.
- If you can remember what happened, a walkthrough of the steps you took before a bug occurred can help us pinpoint what may have happened to cause the bug is super handy.
Why Do We Ask for Detail?
As admin, we ask for details because you have eyes on the scene and context that we do not.
We receive dozens of reports each week and each has to be looked at, investigated and dealt with. This can be as simple as an item name change request, or it can be a thorough investigation to figure out if someone is multi-accounting. Each of these takes time and the more precise detail you give us, the easier and faster we can handle the reports.
Please don't be afraid to report on the basis of not knowing what to include, we can and do probe for more if we need it. Often this is at the triaging stage so it's there for when we can get to it.
Trusted Status Explained
What is trusted status?
It’s a permission applied to your account that stops the automatic crossover hibernation when two of your characters meet.
It comes with expectations and rules - these are also sent to you upon successful application:
- No cooperation between your own characters
- No conflict between your own characters
- No sharing of resources, tools or anything else
- No providing yourself with information that only you have
- The duration of crossover must be explained if it is planned or ends up extending past 3 real life days and discussed for further approval
- You have to report each crossing in advance
It can and will be removed if the game rules are broken.
Common Courtesy
While not required, as a courtesy we do appreciate an additional line about topics we may see while dealing with your report. This may be things like suicide, self-harm, assault of all varieties displayed in detail, adult roleplay (ERP) etc.
It is also expected that reports are professional or polite. The staff members dealing with the reports are volunteers.
